ZEDO’s Overlay Ad format gives traditional display advertising a boost by integrating video ads and high-impact premium video content across web pages.

How it Works

An Overlay Ad plays on the center of the screen in the expanded mode upon page load. The ad disappears once it has completed playing or if the user clicks on the Close (X) button. Overlay ads can be served with or without a base ad.

Preliminary

To enable Replay, Close, and Click Tracking, the flash files must contain these functions:

Replay and Close

Code for the Base Ad:

on(release){
getURL(‘javascript:zzReplay();’, ”);
}

Note: You can substitute zzExpand for zzReplay.

Code for the Overlay Ad:

on(release){
getURL(‘javascript:zzClose();’, ”);
}

Click Tracking

To enable click tracking in the flash files the clickTAG function must be added.

on (release) {
if (clickTAG.substr(0,4) == “http”) {
getURL(clickTAG, “_blank”);
}
}
